Description
The spark plug with part number 239242 from Maserati engines is used to ignite the fuel-air mixture inside the combustion chamber. Spark plugs are tiny, metal parts that fit into an engine’s cylinder head. They are equipped with a ground electrode that is connected to the engine block and a central electrode that is connected to the ignition system.
A spark is created across the gap to the ground electrode by the ignition system’s high-voltage current flowing to the central electrode. The engine starts when this spark ignites the fuel-air mixture.
