Description

The rain-sensor on the Maserati 670008302 detects rainfall and immediately modifies the windshield wipers. Usually, it is installed behind the rearview mirror on the windshield.
The rain sensor detects the presence of water on the windshield by the use of light. The wiper control module receives a signal from the sensor when rain is detected, and it uses that signal to switch on the wipers at the proper speed. When the intensity of the rainfall varies, the sensor can also modify the wiper speed.
