Description
The oxygen sensor after catalyst F 3W-5, Bentley part number 1K0998262B, is designed to measure the amount of oxygen in exhaust gas following its passage through the catalytic converter. The computer in the automobile uses this data to regulate the fuel injection system and make sure the engine is operating at peak efficiency.
Because it must detect exhaust gas after the catalytic converter has cleaned it up, the oxygen sensor is positioned after the catalytic converter. Although the catalytic converter purges the exhaust flow of dangerous pollutants, it may also reduce the oxygen content of the exhaust gas. The oxygen sensor informs the vehicle’s computer of how much oxygen is still present in the exhaust gas.
The oxygen sensor data is used by the vehicle’s computer to modify the fuel injection system. The computer will add more fuel to the engine if the oxygen sensor determines that the exhaust gas is excessively oxygen-rich. The computer will pump less fuel into the engine if the oxygen sensor determines that the exhaust gas is too low in oxygen.
The following are some advantages of having an oxygen sensor that is in good working order:
increased fuel efficiency.
lower emissions.
improved performance of the engine.
prolonged engine life.
inadequate fuel efficiency.
elevated emissions.
Engine mishappens.
Verify that the engine light is on.
This car part is suitable for the following models:
Continental GTC, Continental GT.
